Well decided I should probably blog again after a while not blogging.

AM- easy 3 and went pretty well, felt good the whole time but a little sore and a headache after.

PM- 4×1600's I went into this not really expecting to do to good, but boy i proved myself wrong. My goal time was 5:35. My times were 5:33, 5:35, 5:31 and 5:31. My first two i was still in the warm up process and did way better than i thought, i was lucky to have preston and cam running with me too. Then the 3rd one i really wanted to get faster so the third lap i just took off past preston and Cam which was a surprise. 4th one i really didn't know how i would do. Cam fell off and Preston didn't start till the 3rd lap. i was having a really hard time staying with, then the fourth lap started and coach said to catch back up to preston because he had gained quite a bit, he said catch up and i said "doubt it, i'm gonna die" in my mind, then he said "Make yourself do it, Make yourself" i don't know what happened but i slowly sped up and didn't even think of it. by the last 100 i was still behind then all thoughts disapeared and i sprinted to the finish surprising myself. I tell this because i really did see the power of not thinking about it, and just to "Let it Go" as the great inspirational song from Frozen states.

AM- easy Artic Circle run

PM- Trail run Tuesday! Went on the Temple Quarry Trail. Fun Fact, today is Jan. 28 and last year when we did this run it was Jan. 29, Coincidence? I think Not!

AM easy 3

PM- 10 mile tempo run in which I only did 9 so I could get to driving.

AM- easy 3 once again

PM- 6 miles with 3×800 old man hills. Did pretty well and I love to see myself running in the top group was an average of 2:34 times

AM- ran 3 all by my lonesome, in the pouring rain. It was actually quite fun but soaking wet. Did stiders on the track with the water blinding me, but it was probably my favorite run in a long time.

AM- ran the LT tempo with a couple of the guys starting at the sullivan soccer park. It went by pretty fast and I think I hit my time pretty well, couldn't tell because of my dumb Nike watch, but it was a good run.

AM- easy 3 miler

PM- 4×1600s again. I went up to 87% today which I was ok with. My time was 5:27 but I didn't know that till after the first one. My times were 5:30, 5:30, 5:25, and finished it off with a 5:15. I don't know how I did so well on the last one but once the 3rd lap started I just kept speeding up, and before I knew it was running right on Nick and Pauls heels. Then I passed them about halfway through the fourth lap, they passed me and we had a pretty good final sprint off at the end. It felt sorta like the way a race would feel, faster than I was expecting, but worth it.

AM- easy 3 that didn't seem too easy, had a harder time staying up for some reason.

PM- TRAIL RUN! 5.5 miles. Went on the chuckawala trail, and this has always beenmy favorite trail, at the top there is an amazing lookout, where i could just sit all day and night (because of the awesome stars) plus the trail is by far the best trail ever. Didn't go as fast as the other guys because I again wasn't really feeling the speed, but still went fast and had fun.

AM got the new saoucony guide 7 shoe and am hoping the support will have help with my shin problem

PM 4×1600s goal time jumped to 5:20 and I was not very happy with my times. I hit 5:27 :26 :31 :31 legs were a little sore but I think the main problem was lack of food, since it was a short day I didn't have lunch

AM ran in my new shoes again and I think they re helping

PM Time trial! Legs werent feeling to hot and I was a little worried how that would affect my race. 2 mile warm up then we started pretty soon after. I'm not sure but the way I ran could hardly have been better, time good have been better, but I ran it very smart. All my laps were basically the same time with a slower last lap, my time was 4:48. 1 second PR! I was happy with how well I did and was a big contrast from yesterday.

AM was feeling somewhat sore went pretty fast.

PM about 2nd period today I started feeling sick, I was rather nauseous and dizzy, and to top it off I had an awful headache. Once we started the run I considered asking coach if I should not do the tempo with how I was feeling, but I decided to suck it up and run as best I could, well it wasnt exactly a good run at all, I wasnt even close to my time, and averaged about a 6 flat time, my legs were feeling worse than anything else had today and hurt like crazy and it wasnt just my shins, when I got back I didn't feel sick quite as much but legs still felt awful. Once I got home though every time I stand I get light headed and feel like throwing up, I hope I don't feel this way tomorrow morning or at all tomorrow, and am considering an ice bath.

Am- no school, so basically I was really excited to just do the run and get it over with! But alas, that was not so. The warm up I felt pretty good and was totally looking forward to an awesome workout. My goal time was 5:20 again, and my times were completely horrible with 5:38 and :48 the first one I knew I was going a little slow but not by that much, i started the second with every one else starting the 3rd lap. I honestly thought Iwas cruising and was gonna nail my time, when i finished I could hardly stand and was shocked to see 48. I was incredibly nauseous and just stood leaning over the garbage sure i was gonna throw up luckily I didn't but I decided it best not to finish the workout, I did the cool down and I was just fine running slow, I hope that the half marathon this weekend will turnout all right with me feeling better. Weights after.

AM just the usual easy 3

PM- had our first track meet of the season and I think mother nature wanted it to be just completely awful, she succeeded. Incredibly windy and clod the entire time. Time is just an estimate I have no clue what I actually got.

1600- Don't even know my time, but got to run in the fast heat and placed pretty well I feel like I raced really well and had a good run just not necessarily a good time, but not worried about that,

800-by now it was really cold and still very windy then they surprised everybody and said all the boys will run in the same heat. You could tell there were a lot of inexperienced 800ers and the kids right in front of me said they would start out slow and that worried me, so my first lap I was caught in the back and it was kinda slow, but the second lap I was passing people left and right, caught up to Paul and two others that I couldn't tell who they were and sprinted in right behind them, again good push.

Even though I didn't PR I believe I pushed hard enough that if the conditions had been better I would have pr'd for sure

PM- had to run in the afternoon because had to do yard work all morning. Had 8 miles with 20 min AT-LT progression, I started out going pretty well and started the tempo when I turned around, well that was a mistake, the entire tempo was pretty hard and I could hardly stay under 6 minute pace after a while, my max pace was around 5:30 which I held for about 5 min, wasnt feeling to good during the run andy legs were hard to get moving

AM-since it's spring break we ran in the morning for our workout, today it was 4×1600s my goal time was 5:25ish, I was really disappointed in my performance today because I have been doing so well for the last week or so and then all the sudden I hit a huge freakin wall! My times where 5:33 5:33 not sure third one cuz I couldn't seem to see my watch correctly, and then the last one I ran mostly on my own and got 5:37, I don't know if its because its the morning and I haven't eaten yet but whenever we do a workout in the morning I just do awful, I get awful stomach aches and then when I'm running fast I can't seem to breath, and today didnt feel like i had much energy in my legs, its frustrating and slows me down, but am hoping that I can make tomorrow a better run, that im gonna have to do alone since I'm going camping at red cliffs with my family today.
